An app that fetches its pages on demand fails precisely when it is wanted, and an app that wants an account first fails a little earlier than that.
Zeliscar holds everything in the download: every plant page, both languages, the images, the search index and the glossary. It opens the same in a cellar as on wi-fi, and it asks for nothing on first launch except which language you would like to read in.
The entries gather traditional, cultural and culinary knowledge — what plants have been called, where they grow, how they have been used in cooking and custom. That is the whole remit, and the app is careful to stay inside it.
A Little Garden of Herbs
Every plant has a story, a scent and a place in the old traditions. Zeliscar is a calm, browsable guide that gathers what people have long known plants by and used them for: the names, where they grow, how they have been used in cooking and folk custom, their flavour and character, and the facts worth knowing — each on its own page.
It is built to explore and to keep. Browse by category, search for any plant, and bookmark favourites into a collection you can return to. Flip through them as cards, meet a plant of the day, and read a glossary that explains the terms. A gentle companion whether you cook with herbs, forage, or simply like the green world around you.

No plant is named here and no use is described — this bench is pure shape. Build a sprig from the three things a field guide asks about first, and watch the botanical terms for what you have made. These are the words the app's glossary explains.

LumenBirch Interactive is the app name used by AM Skufca d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia. The code, the artwork, both language versions, this website and the Google Play account are handled from one address in Ljubljana.
